How is it calculated?
Considering 100 dmg (without talents effects), I have expert offence, he has expert defence.
The final damage is:
a) 100 * 1.3 *0.7 = 110 * 0.7 = 91
b) 100 + (100 * 0.3) - (100 * 0.3) = 100
Thank you. | i think is a but bad formulated.
you deal 100 * ( 1 + 0.3 ) = 130
he receive 130 * ( 1 - 0.3 ) = 91 | a | A is correct | So in the end, basic defence is more effective than basic offence, right? | maybe, but defense doesnt work against magic :) | neither does offence.. | usually basic offense talent cheaper | neither does offence.. Easier/quicker to kill them, so it does | About magic, how does the reduction works?
If I should take 500 dmg from a magic arrow and I'm using Cape of winds (25% air shield) and Barrier as talent (20% magic shield), with another 10% magic proof from other items, what is the final damage?
I would say:
500 - (25 * 100 * 500) - (20 * 100 * 500) - (10 * 100 * 500) =
= 500 - 125 - 100 - 50 = 225
Right? | For a air spell which deals 500 damage,
500*(1-0.25)*(1-0.2)*(1-0.1)=270 | I got it, than you! ;) So if I had also earth magic shield 20% final damage is:
500*(1-0.25)*(1-0.2)*(1-0.1)*(1-0.2)=216
One last question for what concerns enchantments: extra damage with fire, earth, water, etc, is calculated after the standard formula? So if I have 100 damage with 10% bonus fire and 15% bonus water, I would have:
100 * (1 + 0,1) * (1 + 0,15) = 126,5? | Bonus damage to particular element take effect only if u use this element, same goes to defend.
#12,
If u have earth magic shield, it doesn't reduce air damage.
So final damage still
500*.75*.8*.9*no effect reduce =270
10% bonus fire and 15% bonus doesn't effect if u use other element, say air
If it was other,100*1 = 100
If it was fire, 100*1.1=110
If it was water,100*1.15=115 | Not BONUS damage, it is EXTRA damage. The enchant on swords, staff, etc! |
