The Phoenix monster took it's turn more often than normal. Look on the ATB scale, and you will see that many times (especially after the bird resurrected) there were 1-2 other units on the ATB scale before Pheonix's turn, and yet the Pheonix got the turn.
I see no ability to explain such behavior. The Pheonix is elemental, so it's morale is 0 and doesn't ever burst anyways, so it is cheating! |
Actually let me clarify one point: (especially after the bird resurrected)
This happens *only* after the bird resurrected. As soon as it did, just watch the ATB scale, and when it actually get its turn. |
This hapens to Hunts neutral after a lot of turn they get speed but no initiative but for some reason they get faster their turn on the bar |
for Dark_Snow: he is not talking abt that -_-
for Warlock naviron: I agree with what you said, but I can't say for sure since replays are messed up most of the time. But I think its a bug. |
I don't really see any problem.
You are comparing your Hero, Enchanted Gargoyle and Lorekeepers with Phoenix initiative. Where as the former three are in a range of 10-13 initiative, phoenix has 18... It is pretty obvious that it practically gets twice the number of turns than your creatures and hero.
Also, it didnt strike you earlier since you had too many units, but since the beginning of combat, the phoenix has been at twice your creatures (example. Gargoyle and not Genie) initiative speed.
The behavior can be easily noticeable when you apply Rapid to Shrews or Nightmares... As they get their turns 2-3 times when fighting Farmers or even 4 times when fighting Delayed Zombies before the opponents turn. |
when I viewed the battle, when it was the hero's turn on the ATB scale, the phoenix instead did his turn.did this happen bcoz of viewing replay in x2 speed or is that the bug ? |
for AKA:
for Dark_Snow:
I have the feeling you guys didn't even watch the combat to see what I was talking about. Probably you didn't even read my post carefully...
Let me repeat for you two:
Watch the combat *after* the bird resurrects. Look at the ATB scale to see when the bird's turn *should* come, and pay attention to when it actually *does* come. You'll notice that the bird gets its turn *before* it is actually supposed to...
I'm not talking about speed or initiative here. Wasn't I clear about that from the very beginning? that there is a discrepancy between the order shown on the ATB scale, and what actually happens in the field (there is no burst of morale (either positive or negative) so there is no explanation why there would be such a sudden discrepancy. |
i saw the combat this hapened to me at MG with hydras long time ago i think AKA is right :) |
Maybe when it resurrects all it's previous remaining turns on the ATB scale are removed and it is then re-added ad if it had just joined the combat? May well happen with necro when a completely dead stack is resurrected but with their low ini would not be as noticeable.
Re: #3, 5 & 8 - You are talking about a totally different situation. |
for DEATHisNEAR:
It does happen after resurrection, but it happens many times, I would say (roughly speaking) almost every 2 turns of the Pheonix, it takes its turn before other units which are ranked ahead of it on to the ATB scale, on bottom.
Although not a necro myself, I did play with necros teams, including darkness ones with lots of deaths and resurrects. Never noticed this kind of behavior. I much rather suspect it is a bug with the Pheonix. |
It does seem like a bug. There is no need to look at initiative or anything else here. It's simply about the turn of pheonix coming, where the ATB scale says it should not.
It's like when you see on the ATB scale that the next turn is your hero's turn, but instantly in the next turn pheonix makes it turn instead of your hero, which is indeed weird.
If the ATB scale says that the turn of Unit A is coming at 5th position, then it must come at 5th position only, of course in the absence of any buffs, which is true in case of a monster. |
