AuthorTrap Fail
What is the chance for a trap to fail.
Why does it fail
When does it fail
What can it do if it doesnt
I don't know about the first three, but the chance for it to work depends on your trapper's health and the creature that steps on it.

The answer the last is that it reduces the movement of the creature that steps on it.
I am using 4 goblin trappers and the traps fail too much.
Is this related to Q1?
Oh and one more thing, do flyers automatically escape traps
4 goblins is way too little for a trap to work against a decent enemy. you would have a good chance of catching 2 farmers with it, but not much more. i don't know the exact equation, but the chance of it working depends on the total hp of your goblins, and the total hp of the enemy stepping on the trap.
Units that fly or teleport won't be affected by traps if they pass through them, but in case they land on the trap, then the effect will take place just like any other situation.

(I am looking for a set traps formula in case of chances for trap to succeed, till then sorry idk)
thnx till now. Though I am still looking for a better answer
I m expecting an equation too

But it looks like the traps failing is similar to an attack missing ghosts
See missing ghosts is pretty easy-

1. If the ghost has been missed 2 times, it is never missed again.
2. If the ghost has been hit 2 times, it will be a miss for sure.

This gives a good idea of what to do.
Maybe you can say traps failing is same as odd comiingon roulette XD
I think it works the same way as other triggering abilities:

Triggering special abilities may trigger during any attack. The probability of triggering depends on HP of damager and target.
If DHP ≥ THP, then
Probability = 25% + 3% * (DHP/THP);
else
Probability = 25% - 3% * (THP/DHP)
where:
» DHP is the total remaining HP of the damaging stack;
» THP is the total remaining HP of the target stack;
» Trigger probability lays within the interval of [5%;75%];
I don't think its related to the number of creatures in goblins stack since its an Activated special ability NOT Triggering special ability
for Fallen Atheros:
It's both. The trap itself is activated, but how it works after that is triggering. So that's the right equation
