| A staged combat by definition is one where: Any one of the parties or party members intentionally loses to the other for any reason different from having technical problems with access to the game; combats with not full armies (except for cases when falling into thief ambushes) |
| You will get a monk though, in the case that you are ambushed without troops. Good thieves will have a policy where they give you your gold back. |

Ofc it is. I do it everytime. It saves a lot of time that would get wasted if I were to fight.
But travelling with no creature gives you a random creature mostly a monk.
Although you will lose your gold and gain 0 experience and your enemy gets gold and a little experience and FSP.

Just fight happened mins ago.
Although I was not travelling with 1 troop but was with 8 D. witches you can see I got 0 xp and 0 fsp while my opp got 2500+ xp and 1.5+ fsp
