Author | effect of pierce magic on 0% magic resistance |
Hi,
Please advice:
i. for example 10% pierce magic will increase magic damage by 10% on a 0% magic resistance unit?
ii. how about 10% pierce magic against 5% magic resistance? does magic damage increase by 5%?
Thank you. |

no effect

magic resistance will become 4,5%. |
for ScottFlair:
Even if the hero has 0% magic resistance, it's troops may have some sort of magic resistance as an ability, like priests who have 50% fire shield. In this case your magic pierce % will allow you to do more fire damage again those priests. |
pierce magic only works when an unit have magic resistance or immune to element.
it is useless to those units that are not belongs to both class i mention.
as an example, your spell deal 100 damage to farmer. if you equip arts that give you 20% piercing, you still do 100 damage with your spell to farmer since they are no magic resistance nor immune to element.
2nd example,
you cast a spell that deal 100 damage to a farmer lead by a hero with 10% magic proof/resistance.
your spell do 90 damage.
but if you have 20% piercing, the final damage will be 92 damage |
the only resistance that pierce wont work is the faction resist gained from faction skill point on the respective faction. |
