Everytime I meet my girlfriend , we rarely have a long conversation... And we just talk for a short time only -.- ...
I tried to have a long conversation with her but , she was like "Yeah..." , "Already bought it..." , "How about you?" , thats all she was saying and immediately stop the conversation -.- ... She is a kind of shy person ... and I'm also a shy person xD ... When we chat on facebook or text , we can even joke around like this and that but when we meet -> *the awkward silence appear* ... Especially when we sit together ...
Some says that fart may help but fart never come at such time xD ... |

First of all build up a lil confidence to say out anything and everything ;)
Just try to talk about something she likes, her hobbies or something like that
Try telling her what happened during ur day
or something u just came to know |

Then you should find something in common.

WOuldn't do that if I was you, if you say at FB that she is not as she is in reall life you acctualy hurt her feelings, in other words, she's gonna change yeah, but not in the good way. (I'm not good enough tralalala)
See her in a pub, park, anywhere? Make a joke about her being so full of words on fb but being a shy girl next to you. A JOKE.
She will appreciate it and this gives her a hint 'I need to act more like on FB'.
Open yourself up to her. Even if this means you got to do 90% of the talking and all she does is listingen. Then she knows 'Damn this boy must really like me'.
If she has something to say, encourage her, listen to it and let her talk.

Yeah, talking about the non-talking... that makes sense...
That's like making a joke about how you're not funny.
Look if you tried everything: jokes, monologues, lectures, all sorts of topics she's interested in, etc.
Then it's on her end. Some girls just don't like conversation. So if she doesn't want to say anything nor does she want to listen, then you will have to just live with the awkward silence. |
Ask her questions about herself, her family, her hobbies, etc, that don't just need one word answers.
TV soaps are also usually a good/safe topic to kick start a conversation, as are celebrity relationships, shopping and fashion. Once again questions can be used to avoid silences.
Keep in mind though that silence is not always bad. People who are comfortable with each other don't need to talk all the time.
My last advice: she won't notice you aren't talking while kissing. |
Sounds like you are not comfortable around each other yet - when you meet, try doing activities together rather than having to rely on just conversation. You need to be in a situation where you can be relaxed around each other, then the conversation will not be such hard work.
Like DiN says, open ended questions are better to get her to open up a bit - and offer something about yourself first to make her feel comfortable to tell you things. But please find out whether she is into TV soaps/celebrity relationships before you go starting a conversation about them...lol |
