Author | Respect to the victims of the CT shootings |
Thoughts go out to everyone affected by this tragic event.
They were all innocent little kids
R.I.P. |
I'm sure for 1 thing that the shooter must had been a Big Time Loser in his life and he wanted to feel like a winner at the last moment of his life. But even his last action proved that he was nothing but a loser.
For all the victims, all I can say is:

The man was apparently autistic and the mother knowing this still had 3 guns. Why does a elementary school teacher need 3 guns?
Something needs to be changed. I'm not saying get rid of guns here but we need better enforcement. |
Why does a elementary school teacher need 3 guns?
2nd Amendment leads to everyone needing multiple guns to protect themselves from all those other people who have multiple guns.
I'm not saying get rid of guns here but we need better enforcement.
In that case the laws were well enforced. The elementary school teacher wasn't a convict, serial murderer, terrorist...
What we need are much heavier restrictions.
-limited guns and gun models
-limited ammo
-strict background checks |
^ Pantheon, all good points.
We need something to change, we can't have this happening so often. |
Repeal the 2nd Amendment :p
We no longer need a militia or to protect ourselves from our own government's military.
We also need better mental health care for society in general. |
I had been dying to say something but I had been under a ban :p
I was not among the victims or the survivors of the attack...I am not even a resident of US. But what happened at a place separated thousands of miles far from my homeland is the greatest evil against humanity and I don't know what more to say about it. I hope that the family members of the victims can live on with their huge loss. I also hope that this gives out a strong signal to all countries that there is still a lot to be done to ensure the safety of its citizens.
A massacre of god's messengers' is when doomsday has really dawned on humans. |
We also need better mental health care for society in general.
That's where hopefully Obama comes in.. |
Repeal the 2nd Amendment: p why still this old law existing, in old days it is necessary, but it must be limited or removed. Freedom is a fundamental right but there are few things which Gov. must control
In my country we never fear anyone shoots our children in school, but we have to fear other thing which I can’t discuss here, coz I am too disappointed |
houndrends of children die cose of starvation each day and u make a fuss over some shooting. |
This is where you understand that why is "forgetting" exists. I wish their families to get on their feet faster and forget this horrible incident. hope this does not happen anywhere.
as Mohini says we also don't have to worry about our kids being shot in school or outside. I hope more safety issues are considered and taken into place. |
#11: We are just saying we are sorry for that. of course what you are saying is also really important, but we are not saying this to ignore that. we just want to say we are sorry to hear that too. |

What you said is 100% true but there is a slight difference between the two cases. Well, this is solely my point of view and not something to be debated. Poverty of a family is determined by the hard work the earning members of the family did in the early part of their lives to a huge extent. Yes, there are some loopholes like lack of facilities, etc. but I am ignoring it for the time being. Another thing, death due to starvation is not imposed upon someone by someone else. I don't steal someone's food and let them starve. Killing them brutally is a totally different thing. This is what I feel. |

I guess you're referring to the treatment of women? Disgraceful i know.. |
As a father my heart goes out to the children that lost their lives and to their parents...
Having said that I dont believe for a second the cure is to take away the second amendment as stated above. The right to bear arms is one of the founding principles of our country. It comes in constitutional amendment #2. Right after freedom of speech. If you take that away you may as well strip us of freedom of speech, the right to representation with taxation or any other principle the nation was found on. After all we no longer need freedom of speech. The government should decide what is appropriate to say. We no longer need representation with taxation. Just trust the government to do what they feel is best with our tax dollars with no accountability. All these principles are outdated and antiquated. While your at it throw in due process, protection from search and seizure, private property ownership and every other thing that makes our country great. /rant off |
The man was apparently autistic
The form of autism he was suffering from primarily manifest itself in above average intelligence. Yep, being smarter than average is now a mental disability...
Now he did have some unusual tendencies. He was extra shy and avoided physical contact with people. At the same time he demanded extra attention from his mother because he was feeling insecure all the time.
She is largely at fault in this and paid with her own life. After the divorce, she didn't have to work, living on alimony and spent a lot of her time cradling her boy instead of raising him.
Also I won't be surprised if it will come out that he was sexually abused as a child, possibly by one of the adults at the school. It would certainly explain a lot.
Why he picked that place?
Why he had an altercation with adults there the day before shooting?
Why he was afraid of physical contact?
And why he felt so insecure that the mother had to wait outside his door for hours at a time?
In conclusion, I feel sorry and sad for the innocent victims of this tragedy.
