I apologize if this is the wrong forum-branch... but to be honest, I don't know if it's a technical problem, or just me..
I tried out the alternative URL of LordsWM.com, which I found here a couple of days ago (http://67.220.205.82), to log in with my main and second char at the same time and yesterday I suddenly saw that the notes I've been taking with my second char have replaced the ones of my main...! :/
In short: the notepad of my second char seems to be copy-pasted to my main's notepad.
Could it be because of the alternative URL? Does anybody have experienced the same problem?
(Though I am certain I didn't do it myself, I have to be realistic and not rule out that it's my own fault. So if the answer is 'no' I'll just go with that....) | | To avoid such problems, you should play your main and additional from different browsers. I use Firefox and Internet Explorer.
You have probably opened the notepad with your second char. Then logged in with your main in another tab in the same browser. When you later saved your notepad, it went to the main.
The "alternative URL" has nothing to do with it. It is just something you can use if your ISP have problems with their DNS. If you are not experiencing any problems, you should use the normal URL. | But why does this happen? I guess the notepad belongs to the character, not to an IP address... | The notepad is text in the browser. It does not belong to anyone. Look at the URL when you open the notepad.

If you use this URL you will see your notepad, not mine. When you press "save" it will be stored at the character that is logged in. | for STBs:
thanks for replying!
although your explanation is very clear, there's just one thing... I didn't save my notepad in a long time, and never noticed something being out of place... (but that's probably my own fault)

ah ok, I thought it could be used to have two 'independent' logins in the same browser... (which can't be done without the alt-url) | closed by Magier (2012-08-10 17:15:06) |
