Authortavern - what makes you choose your opponent?
I was wondering, how does everybody choose what card game take, when they look at the list in the tavern?

Please explain your choice.
look his/her win/loose ratio
none. Card game are mostly luck. click Join and wish yourself lots of luck.

that doesn't answer the question.

I'm not trying to find out the "secret behind a win", i just want to know how you choose your opponent, that is, what makes you click on a spot instead of any of those higher or lower than that one.

Be it the blue piercing color of his/her eyes, the bird that flew outside your window drawing a name, the cat that cliked right running after your mouse, or you blinding yourself while your cursor draws random spyrals on the screen until you click somewhere, there is some sort of reason that makes you choose.

The question is: what's your reason?
Ill join anything in Great Capital. Games in GC are usually quicker. I dont really inspect my opponent before a card game.
I just click anything that has Join in it when i feel like playing a card game.
I pick players from GC (shorter game), with no stake.
I usually join in the first game I see. If my opponent don't accept the challenge quick, I try the second, and so on. If I have tried them all, and none started the game, I create my own challenge and wait for someone.
anything thing with no bet, gc preferred
great capital, coz u have fastest card games there
I also prefer GC because of the faster games and i prefer games with no stake. If no game is to my liking i create my own.
*no level 0 players
*no stakes over 3000 gold
*no "annoying" players: players who wait until the last second to play, who accuse every player of cheating,...
*no infinite games: less strategy / some infinite games are bugged:the same cards pop up over and over again
*any location can be fun: they all require a different tactic.
Criteria:

- Location, which determines game type. GC and Verdant Dell preferred, followed by Eastbay, then Blooming Glade.
- One deck.
- Betting range (1000 - 3000). Sometimes I'd join a 4000 or 5000 game if I'm really bored, but no higher.
Usually I don't check the player's stats beforehand, to keep my head 'neutral' (e.g. I could get careless and lose if I'd know a player has a low ratio), unless he has GG0 and waits a long time to accept the challenge (to check if that player knows how to start a game).

Low stakes (40~400), if no stake I switch to my CL1 multi to play with.

When I start a game, I'll accept anyone.

When I join a game, I prefer East Bay (fastest game where all three ways to win are present - winning with resources at GC is very rare), but also play at GC (for speed), YL (for the occasional epic long game), and SH (where my secondary char is stationed).

depends on place, usually i choose either blooming glade, great capital, east bay or silent hill, other places usually take too much time (maybe misty coast doesn't, but it rarely appears on tavern)

and also depends on money staked, which depends on my mood, usually 600-2000
well, there are many categories to decide upon, i'll list them based on importance:

1) location
2) amount of bet
3) my mood
4) total amount of gold that i have
5) my game win/lose ratio in the past 5-20 games
6) game win/lose ratio of the opponent
7) game win/lose ratio of the opponent in the past 5-20 games
8) total amount of gold that the opponent has
Main no longer plays but multi is active in the tavern. Great Capital only. No bets only. 30 seconds only. I do not usually see the opponent's name until the game starts. I'll probably start screening my opponents if I find anyone who delays the game but so far I've never known anyone who consistently does that.

I forgot to say this: one deck only.
