In theory it is possible that player will never get arts or elements from HG/MG because it is based on chances (%). One can be unlucky all the time.
So is there a chance rebalancing mechanisms, so that after lots of no element/ no art drop, the chance increases to keep long term probability fulfilled? |
I read somewhere that chances increase after a long streak of no drop though it says there 50%chance so in theory you may never have an art or element drop but practically max after 30 streak there is a drop(cant remember the place where I read that) |
YES! in the last 60 MG quests, i got 1 toadstool, 1 abrasive and 1 meteorite shard.
3 elements from 60 quests! this is a joke..
instead of it being 20% chance to get element, it should be "get element on every 5th successful MG quest" so for example, you get element on:
Mercenaries' guild: 0 (5) +45
Mercenaries' guild: 0 (10) +40
Mercenaries' guild: 0 (15) +35
etc...

I had 1elements in 20quest before
Now, I got 3element in 3quest |
Knowing from experience is not good enough unless you note all your elements/arts and you have 2-3k points in MG or HG. Here might be needed someone who knows how game script was written. |

They should do what they do with luck
The more times luck doesn't strike the higher chance that it will strike next time (to the point you can guarantee it)

maybe like this:
each time one player completed a mg quest, he get a number between 5-20. the number invisible though. the number is cumulative. if the number reach 100, then he get element.
this way, a player would get element between 5-20 quests.
for hunter arts, the number can be 2-(2+hunter level). so, a level 3 hunter level can get art between 20-50 hunts. |

That's horrible. That means you can't get two elements within a span of five quests. That means the maximum possible drop rate (if you're really really lucky) would be 20%. I don't want that. My multi has a better element drop rate (right now, 10 elements from 38 quests or 26 percent with some decimal places) with the current system. |

this will stops consecutive element drops. i believe current system works fine. i remember 2 months back i got 5 elements in 5 consecutive quests also 0 elements for 14-15 quest after that.
there was a time i didn't find any element foe some 40-50 quests. i posted a thread for that,then some one says he got only one element from last 81 quests !!! |
I have averaged 19.7% since I started doing MG quests so it seems to be working fine. |
I think that there should be an element given after a specific amount of won MG quests and maybe it should decrease after every level in MG.

I have done 1016 MG quests 236 elements in total that 23.2% drop rate or slighty less cause of double elements drops, so in th long run it should be about 20%. |
i have 105 elements from 424 quests. I think that's around 24-25%. |

The luck/morale formula can be adapted here.
The probability of morale/luck triggers = F^(1+[moves befallen so far]-[moves not befallen so far]*F/(1-F)), whence F is Min(0.5;luck/10) or Min(0.5;morale/10)
Changed to:
Min(0.5;3%+HG) or Min(0.5;20%)
How does the morale/luck formula apply to hunter art and element drops?
If one has HG7, the current method gives you 10% chance. If the morale/luck formula is applied, then one can't get 11 consecutive no element drops (after counter is reset). After 10 consecutive no elements (after counter is reset), the 11th will be a guaranteed drop. |
