are succubi really worth been lvl 5 its just u i like them but never got them and until lvl 5 demon got no shooter | yes lol they are the main level 5 creature of course you want them | yes i know they main level creture but fact is they are not that strong all other factions crush them | fact is youll do worse without them | you want not to take them at all?) ok try it | well they crush them because they are scared of them....succub proves game changer many times.... and normally they work like bait...like elven bowmen... | if you dont want succubi i suggest changing factions | it not that i dont want them its just every faction has shooter before lvl 5 then they get strong unit like druid or ogre but demon dont they get shooter at lvl 5 but they not that strong they weaker then elven bowman and knight bowman and demons and wolfs arent that strong either it just seems like demon is quite weak | You can't put all responsability on one unit, succb are amazing, but you must work with your spawns and wolfs too...
Also some gated to block enemys with demons.
Demons are the stronger but the HARDER faction to play... | one of the good features is if a shooter shot them they would d retal | More tactical faction to be exact.
It requires more brain power than the other factions.
Not many players can play this faction and that is why its the least played faction in LordsWM. Dwarf might be soon but, some enjoy them.. Dont know why Its like.. So weak >.> | @11
Try change tier 2 for tier 1 till you get upgrade for they, use only to mayzen invader creatures, and check the results, dwarf is very powerfull and very easy to play. | dwarf is very powerfull
not powerful just strong with defence and runes are a big faction bonus | Demon from 5th to 8th level is one of strongest factions. Succubi are nice from 6th to 8th by minimal ammount, if you devide them on max stacks with Hellfire (or whatever it called here) talent. You need a lot knowledge and some SR, succubi will deal very low their own damage, but a lot from talent, many many succubi stacks can kill almost whole enemy army at the 1st turn.
But you need to make priority on imps, then dogs and only the rest on succubi. Imps MUST be upgraded, they will give you additional mana.
Forget about tier2 demons, they are slowpokes. When I had a tournament on 6th level demon vs demon, my enemy was a donator and had upgraded tier2, too bad they made only 1 turn and died. The only hope for demons that some day alternate upgrades will be implemented, then I'll make many many jumping demons with thief set, so they will jump on 10 squares with +100% to their attack, oh, that would be nice! Of course on tournaments they will jump only on 8 squares, but still not so bad.
So 5th demon level: luck+hunter set, max out dogs, imps and succubi.
6th demon: offense+battle fury+master hunter set, max out imps, then dogs and succubi.
7th demon: offense+battle fury+hellfire+great hunter set, max out imps and dogs, then succubi.
If enemy has no mana, devide succubi as many stacks as possible, imps in 1 stack.
If enemy has mana, devide imps to maximaze mana steal (no more than 40 imps in main stack, and, if possible 8 imps in 2nd stack and the rest less than 4).
Nothing will win you, except for another demon like you, I had 100% win % from 5th to 8th level in PvP, even in 2v2 when my ally left game at begin, I just killed alone them both, and we all were the same levels, and it's not because of me, it's because of demons, battlefury+hunter set and hellfire, it's damn imbalanced and I like it.
Skill points spend on knowledge and SR, but mostly knowledge, you need a lot mana, very very much mana, to deal hellfire damage for whole combat.
In other words: succubi are excellent for hellfire build, if you devide them on max (5) stacks. 1-2 succubi shoot, deal few their damage and insane hellfire damage. Gated imps and dogs will take retal and your frenzied imps on battle fury+hunter set will kill almost everything with 1-2 strikes.
Also good thing in this style, that because of hunter sets you'll have so high initiative, that such units as footmen and ogres will do 1 turn while your dogs and imps will do 2 turns, so you can take retal by gated creature, strike ogres/footmen with dogs+imps and then just run away from other units (if there are none units, you don't need to run away, because imps+dogs with +2 min max damage and hellfire will simply kill whole pack of footmen and ogres in 1 turn.)
Without hellfire succubi are useless. | your a level 4 elf? | Wow, The hellfire build seems cool and I have wanted to try that build for a long time, but I really dont agree with the assessment that Incendiaries are bad. They are super scary to face. In large stacks they have crazy Hp and deal massive damage w battle fury. Also, the idea that succubi are useless with out hellfire is silly. Succubi can be very useful in a traditional might build. In fact I think the idea that any unit is useless all the time is lame. All units can be very useful with the right set up and strategy. | I have played with classic might build, and works very well to me.
If i'm not wrong, the hellfire talent needs lot SP to make some good damage or I'm wrong? Also need a moderate mana pool to don't lost all of it in 2 seconds...
Looks like must spend all points on magic way hehehe...
Also must pray to don't face an elf, with their powerful druids caster of lights :) | but I really dont agree with the assessment that Incendiaries are bad
Look at their initiative, I can easily avoid them whole combat, the same as ogres and footmen, everyone afraid of footmen, but not demon on 5-8 lvls. Because they are useless slow walking bad reacting walking meat.
Tier2 demons will walk, then wait for eternity until next turn, and when their next turn will come, there will be one of 2 situations:
1) They are dead.
2) They can't reach anyone, because everyone ran away from them already very very very long time ago, moreover, while they were awaiting their turn, their army is dead already.
Too low initiative. With that low initiative their damage is useless, because they simply can't damage anyone. Of course they can be good against others low initiative or against people who doesn't know how to avoid them. But if you're playing against perfect enemy who does everything right, your incendiaries won't hit anyone for whole combat. | Off topic
8 Initiative isn't so bad, it's more faster than zombie, it's like a faster unit do 2 moves till they get his turn and after he make a move do 1 move...
Nothing with really make any difference, don't forget they had lot hp...
Mhmmm, you said swords are slow and easy to kill, yes and yes, but you're putting a skilled player which use griffs to scourt they instead of suicide they on first turn and lost the game on begin, in your math?
All is relative, you can't just ignore one tier unit, because some people don't use they well...
Same to ogres, my ogres are the worse nightmare to everyone which face me.
Backing to incediarys, they have 5 speed, which means they can reach anything with 2 turns, and a skilled player which will put full stack of they, will maximize the morale with at least one pendant of bravely (2 morale) and maybe with + 2 rings of inspiration (4 morale) of course they will have morale very often... And again like all factions demons are the most tactical of they all... They have dogs and some gated succubi to scourt and protect the advacing of incendiary, so kill they won't will be a easy mission to do... Don't forget the EXPLOSION!!
And again, pray to don't face an elf mainly on CL 5 lol. :) | I'll make many many jumping demons with thief set, so they will jump on 10 squares with +100% to their attack
What make you think they can do that here? In HoMM5, they can jump only twice their "normal" movement rate. So even if you increase their speed to 6 by artifact and talent, they can still jump only 8 squares. |
