Author | how to prevent selling resources automatically |
I believe some people are selling resources automatically in the Nickel Works in East Bay. Do you think the admin can implement something to prevent this? Such as having to input a random code before selling, like the way we enroll.
The benefit is huge: 5 gold for each wood selling. | already reported here:
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1915469 | for cakur: that was the complaint. This is a suggestion to solve this problem.
for beggar: The idea is good, has been suggested many times.
Nevertheless, +1 | No no no, no enroll codes to sell resources ... it would be time wasting. Instead of working on that, they could make a script detector (if they don't already have), which will predict the most suspicious fast selling cases that guarantee it can't be at human speed. In any case, anything to solve this would not be easy to implement. | i find it funny how so many players complain about resouces selling in nickel works at east bay.
Everyone cries "bot! bot!", but did the whole lot of you thought of counting how many are actually trying to sell at the same time? Me, i'm there quite often, honestly, and although my finger is itching every now and then, i don't hesitate to fast click to get a refreshed page. And not always, but often, i can sell at least one out of three resources. So where does the bot goes, at that time? | Everyone cries "bot! bot!", but did the whole lot of you thought of counting how many are actually trying to sell at the same time? Touche | So where does the bot goes, at that time?
internet problems, lag, busy selling the wrong resource in the wrong facility at that specific time, or ran out of resources, etc....
Believe me, when i say there are multiple bots and while some do get blocked from time to time; most of the time they are left alone.
+1 to Hallion91's idea. Even without a script detector, admins should be able to see and manually block the obvious looking bots.
Also the mechanics could be changed to limit the amount of refreshes one can do to a facility page or to limit the amount of resources one can sell per day. | @#5
People use bot not regularly in fear of not getting caught.Even I sell and I know when it is player and when bot.Even I sell so I have the experience that is doesnt always happen. But as Hallion91 said a script detector is to be made(pretty sure it is not there till now.). |
