The players then got caught.
1. Should the money from the clan be returned to empire?
2. Who should return the money?
3. What if the clan leadership has changed, are they still required to return the money? |

| Im just asking because i discovered a clan who is awashed with gold from players who were blocked for several violations including financial assist. To me it would fall under the money laundering rule since the gold are illegally acquired. But mods have different way of thinking. And also reporting it would be a very tedious process since it will be very long. |
The one receiving the illegal gold gets penaltied and the other guy sending the gold gets blocked.
At least that's what happened to me ;) |

Interesting question. Traditionally the admins don't take action on the clans that obtained the money from cheaters, they only take action on the cheaters themselves.
Probably the best example of this is the period after MCs were announced when several MCs were formed. At the time there was a concern that cheaters would benefit from being a member of a MC so there seemed to be extensive behind-the-scene checks of all clan members.
However, no penalties were levied against the Clans themselves (to my knowledge), nor was a Military Clan formation ever reversed, even if there was a noticeable contribution from "dirty" sources.

It's up to the integrity of the Clan Leader I guess.
The Leader is responsible for the use of the clan funds, but not for the depositing of them by others, thus the blame of illegal funding is not on the Leader or the Treasurer.
How the Leader uses the gold, however can and will be scrutinised and punished if inappropriate.
