Authorassisting a hunt and your partner quits on you
I had the misfortune to assist someone who fell asleep and then quit without acting even once.
It was annoying and it takes a long time to wait because one gets so much time to act.

But when the fight was done and won, I only got the XP and the quitter got gold...

Is this how it should be?

What do you think?

yes

nothing special.

IMO, i only care on the fsp and the HG point. gold? that's really NOTHING. at your level rage, those hunt reward gold can be obtain with 1 enroll and you will get even more IF you have better LG

I used to feel the same way about this issue too. I even felt that even if no one quit and the battle was successful, the Gold should be split between the player and assistant, but I was shot down in flames for suggesting such a heretical thing. :D

The Gold is minimal compared to the Experience and Faction Points. But I understand how you feel, especially when someone quits a Hunt. Most times when someone quits during a Hunt, the battle is lost … so be thankful that the Hunt was won by your own exceptional skills. :)
0 xp, 87 gold, and 0 sp.
80 xp and 0.25 sp.

in this situation, im prefer the second one. :)
Unfortunately some players will create an assist request just as they log off in the hope of some "free" gold and possible drop with no intention of fighting battle.

If they do it every day at around same time you could probably get action taken for intentional afk other wise just take it as a lesson learned and dont assist this player again.
Isn't this a Q&H issue ? (yeah that's why I'm here ;D)

Yes, even if you didn't get the gold (and you were never meant to), IMO neither the host should get gold. This way hunt hosts wouldn't go intentionally afk (OK that could not be intentional, just saying) just to gain free gold while they are offline.
Hunt owner already got punished by system. Let him keep those few golds :p
He got 0 fsp and 0 HG points because of afk but since hunt is succesfull, his creature numbers will increase.
Don't forget the -2 Luck when you go AFK too. @_@ But still, the person left 'holding the bag' loses artifact durability when their partner quits. So in all fairness, if the Hunt 'owner' goes AFK and the battle is successful by the assistant, the assistant should receive the gold as compensation for lost artifact durability.

Absolutely. You should be thanking your partner for asking assistance for such an easy hunt that you could win all by yourself. He got gold, you got fsp. Way more than fair.

If it's a hard hunt, and you lose because he goes afk, then that's another matter.
Also note that even if he goes afk, he's not completely useless. Because it's an assisted hunt, the battlefield is bigger, which makes things a bit easier. Also, his troop might draw some fire the few rounds that he's alive. That might buy you some needed time.

This has happened to me a few times, and it never even occurred to me that it's something to be upset about.
Thanks for your input.

Yes, this is a rather small thing in all.

The gold was not the thing that annoyed me really, its just a bit unfair.

The thing that got me to ask you guys more than anything was the looong wait :).

But yes, next time I know better than assisting someone with a -2 luck penalty.

PS: next time I'll look for a better sub forum to post a question
Please don't post with your multi.

I assume that this behaviour may exist on low levels, but from level 5 one the people will think twice before wasting their arts on a hunt request.

This behaviour will hurt those players anyway on the long run - when easy hunts run out, but I think that none of them is thinking that far.
