| how to increase the mass effect? more spell power or knowledge? | Mass effect of what spell?
If you want to increase damage from poison, increase spellpower. Increasing talent (advanced\expert instead of basic) will increase the duration of the spell.
If you want disruption ray to reduce def better, you need to increase your talent. Btw, spell power doesn't affect disruption ray at all.
