| How long can a ban last and can a ban be applied to a certain forum section and can a ban be lifted? | A ban can last as long as a moderator likes. There is no set time for a ban.
Each forum section has its own local rules. You may wish to become familiar with the local rules of the forum that you choose to post in before you post. So, yes a ban can be applied to a certain forum section - Dependent on whether or not you break the local rules.
Yes a ban can be lifted. It's not likely to happen, but it has been done.
