It means the person bidded much higher than the highest bidder at that time. As it is unnecessary to outbid by such a huge margin, the game system allows you to keep the bid, but is shown as only slightly higher than the next highest bidder.
At 03-12-11 12:59: Rofe1 bids 950
At the time, there were no bids made yet, and the seller's starting asking bid price was 800. But Rofe1 is willing to pay up to 950 for it. So he bids 950, but such a huge increase is unnecessary to secure the position as the highest bidder. Hence this bid is hidden from the view of other players, and the auction only displays his bid as 800 (the minimum amount necessary to be the highest bidder).
Since other players cannot see his actual bid of 950, _Fafnir_ sees the then highest bid of 800 and decides to bid 816. But automatically, he is outbidded straight away by Rofe1. This carries on each time someone bids higher, until the bid reaches 950, when Rofe1's bid is no longer high enough to sustain its place. It is only at this point in time that his bid is displayed in the log, which is why the order of bid timings shown is not entirely chronologically sorted. |
