Nope, only .ru is so strict with the penalties ... I got a stupid 5k gold penalty for spamming messages to collect some information :)
Here I sent about 7-8 times more PMs during that period and I didn't get any warning (just some blacklists from antisocial guys :P) |

Rulewise it should be ok, if you don't spam excessively.
Ethically ask yourself, if someone really wants and needs your informations. I barely get spam or advertising mails, but I guess there are more popular players around, who could get more annoyed by it. |
