like 10 months ago when i was new to this game i had searched for lordswm tricks in google and found a page saying that lordswm is very similar to some game called heroes of might magic and is ripoff
now a week ago i saw a vid on youtube that said in middle something like " made by heroes of might magic "
wats the truth then? |
Creators of HOMM not created lordswm.com - this is independent projects.
This game is very similiar to HOMM series - and i think this is idea of that statement. |
Lordsw took a lot of ideas from HMM. For example, battles, similar factions, creatures, talents (even that it has another mechahick), tavern game (from MM) and etc.
But both those projects have their differentses - you noticed some of them by yourself. |

Well, becuase Ubisoft knows about lordwsm (and heroeswm), but hasn't done anything yet. Possible reasons - judjement in such cases costs too much (especially because it isn't so easy to prove fact of plagiarize),second - may be because lordswm increases popularity of HOMM and isn't serious concurent for it. |

| The name of this game was changed from "Heroes of War and Money" to "Lords of War and Money" for copyright reasons if I remember correctly... so I believe that legal work has been done, encompassing intellectual property and design rights etc... and LWM has been found not to infringe on HoMM's copyrights. |
