Author | The Mystery Of The Magic Punch |
Hiya all,
While waiting to recover, I was browsing through some of my battles and noticed something I can't understand.
In this battle, https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499107078<=-1
15 Magi dealt 104 damage,
but in this battle, https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499109164<=-1
15 Lores dealt 132 damage
2. My question have reference to this thread, Erlemar's post #2 - https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1839689
In this battle, https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499169425<=-1
9 Lores dealt 93 damage, different from the 89 damage Erlemar posted in that thread.
So my questions,
- Does Lores and Magi deals different damage, ie, have different Magic Punch 'powers'?
- Is Magic Punch affected by stuff such as magic level, faction level etc?
- Has there been an update in the 'formula' for Magic Punch since that post by Erlemar? I don't recalled reading anything about it in any updates.
- What is the formula for Magic Punch? How do we calculate the damage of Magi/Lores stacks?
Thanks. |
1. I'm not positive but it could be like magi are a for example at magic guild lvl 3 and lores are at lvl 4 so they do more damage.
2. Magic punch is affected by faction resistance, magic resistance, etc...
3. And I don't know anything about formulas hehe :) |
https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=32 :
# Magi: Magic punch. 20 damage. Physical damage, Nature Magic school. Costs 5 mana.
# Lorekeepers: Magic punch. 25 damage. Physical damage, Nature Magic school. Costs 5 mana.
dunno about your others questions |
i havent look on the replay log.
but, magic punch dmg can be resist by faction skill resistance |
So.. why is there a formula for almost everything else in the game, but not one (that I know of) for how many damage Magi/Lores Magic Punch does, depending on how many stacks there are, especially since it's not linear? |
magic punch can only be resisted by faction level .. not by magic shield or magic resistance .. :) |
magic punch is resisted by defense skill |
here is a list of lore damages, i let you find the math formulla :
1 lore = 25
2 lores = 40
3 lores = 53
4 lores = 64
5 lores = 75
6 lores = 85
7 lores = 95
9 lores = 113
13 lores = 146
14 lores = 153
17 lores = 175
19 lores = 190
good luck |

Hiya buddy,
Where did you get this? Is this reliable/correct? It seems to differs from those found here - https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1839689
And why are there 'holes' in the list? What happened to 8, 10-12, 15-16 and 18? :p |
for Jedi-Knight:
taken from .ru
Archmagi
dmg=1+24*[N^0.7]
Magi
dmg=1+19*[N^0.7],
where N is number of creatures. |
lol
Archmagi
*Lorekeepers |
What about your battles, don't forget about your Wizard antiskill
FS 6 = 18% damage reduction
for example, https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499109164<=-1
dmg=(1+24*[15^0.7])*0.82 = 132.
Check it yourself! ))) |
according to formula:
1 25
2 40
3 53
4 64
5 75
6 85
7 95
8 104
9 113
10 121
11 130
12 138
13 146
14 153
15 161
16 168
17 175
18 183
19 190
according that number, lore/magi better splitted to many stacks if want do magic punch. |
Hmm.. interesting.
So ^ is .. 'to the power of'?
@ Post #13,
Is that for Magi or Lores? Or are they the same? |
#14 i took this from my personnal hunts and MG with different set of Lores (ROFL)
Thanks togort for the formulla.
Pat. |
Yes, ^ is .. 'to the power of'
Post #13 is for Lores |
Yeah,the forumula is nice.I will try it. |
Is that for Magi or Lores? Or are they the same?
that is for lore. |
Well erm...1 magi did 17 dmg and 1 lore did 21 dmg with magic punch... dunno what that is supposed to mean!
(Rest don't conform to above pattern(s) either)
