Does anyone know how to make sense of the whole 'combat turn' idea. (e.g my spells last 0.5 turns..) An algorithm would be great! | And is it the same as ATB? | Spells have an initiative equal to 10. So, if a spell lasts 0,5 turns, it means, that its duration will be over roughly after half of caster`s turn (if the caster`s initative is also 10). If no, then it`s hard to predict, when it`s over. For sure, spells with duration are more effective when cast on creatures with higher initiative than 10, cause they`ll probably move more than once per combat turn. When cast on creatures with initiative lower than 10 - it`s more useless, cause the spell`s duration may end even before the creature`s turn...
For example: poison.
If cast on shrews - it will have about 1,6 more effect, cause shrews move fast and the damage is dealt every time they move. |
