Author | New Meters |
I suggest a bar or meter that will show how long it is until you can hunt again, approximately howlong before your army is restored, how long before you can ambush again, etc. This will benefit many players as:
1.Knowledge is power. :P
2.They will be able to plan their actions better. For example, they may not want to engage in a battle if they know they can set an ambush in 3 mins. This can lead to better time management for players.
Also, I don't think other players should be able to see this as this may give them an advantage regarding ambushes, etc.
What do you think? |

Oh, lol,how about making it possible for some of us who son't use the script? |
of us who son't use the script?
I'm guessing you wanted to say "won't use the scripts"? Funny choice of words...
Well, let me make a list too :D
1) Why would you want a 'meters upgrade' when the existing timer bar script is so much better? Yes, an actual countdown accurate to the last second is much more useful (in this case) than a meter which would be showing percentages.
2) [how long it is until you can hunt again, approximately howlong before your army is restored, how long before you can ambush again, etc] <-- That single script will give you all that, and so much more.
3) Unlike many of the scripts floating around right now, all the scripts given in the above link are fully legal and approved by admins.
4) It takes just a few seconds to download + install the script...guess even that's too much work :/
5) I'm quite board right now.
TL;DR

I totally agree withSwitchBlad3 it only takes a few seconds to download and install the script.. why don't you propose better ideas? |
I'm with joe here. Why aren't these legal scripts built into the game? And why can't these scripts be improved and better integrated into the game? Every other major update (or change in picture theme) causes a new wave of complaints about how people's scripts no longer work.
I understand that players need a browser and flash to operate the game, but scripts should not be a part of that.
So far, I have never heard a single good reason why scripts should exist. Reasons such as it's easy to install and that scripts are like flash, are not good good reasons.
And reasons such as it makes the game much easier, just supports the notion of making it a part of the game code.
P.S. If you haven't already guessed it by now, I never used scripts (legal or illegal). Also I'm level 14 and am aware that scripts do exist. |
Why aren't these legal scripts built into the game?
I'm with you guys there. It might be better if the scripts were a part of the game. But it's not. And the chances of any of the (approved or otherwise) scripts being integrated into the game itself are at best very slim to none. So why not take advantage of these [legal] very small downloadable files that indeed doesn't take more than a few seconds to install?
Every other major update (or change in picture theme) causes a new wave of complaints about how people's scripts no longer work.
How often do those updates come along? Once, twice every year? :/
I hardly think that's a big downside...particularly as some of the gamers themselves soon solve the problems with the scripts.
There are plenty of good reasons to use scripts, even if you choose to ignore them ;)
If it was illegal scripts, I would wholeheartedly support your stance against them. But once a script is verified and approved by the admins, it's kinda dumb (and not to mention stubborn) to keep boycotting them 'just because'. |
about script, maybe if you always play in 1 computer (at home) can do that.
but, sometimes, player plays from public computer. does he must reinstall script every play ?
and some computer in work place forbidden to install script.
i think better that feature implemented in game. but the format maybe can discussed later, because too many bar/meter can be annoying. |
+1 to this idea...
cakur's point is very true.
well said:) |
@8
Yes, scripts would be very bothersome to install every single time if you were playing from a lot of different places. But then again, playing from so many different places isn't advised, especially if you log in from public internet cafes and such... |
switcblad3 problem on me atleast is that these scripts are made for mozilla and when you load most of em it makes mozilla crash becose of em. |
@naapa92
I used to have that problem before too. Firefox would crash at least 2-3 times every day. Was quite annoying, although I don't think it was entirely the scripts' faults.
Haven't had that problem since I upgraded to Firefox 4 :) |
Firefox would crash at least 2-3 times every day
And thus I don't use that browser :p

It's about integrity and principle. :p

Like any good software, the appearance, format, and option should be customizable from settings. |
