| whats a Thief leader's trust? is it the same than an invation? |

No, it is rumored that in the future, admins will implement it so that you can access to special types of quests, or that certain equipment you could only buy it with Thief leader's trust.
But until day comes, I am only guessing and I could be perfectly wrong. |

That sword was used in a thief even in summer 2008 on .ru server, and has nothing to do with the subject.
Yet again on .ru Thief leader's trust allows you to access the special Thief forum, which i suppose is not present here. That's it. Nothing else, like special types of quests, or that certain equipment you could only buy it with Thief leader's trust.
