I use Internet Explorer V7.0 on Windows Vista.
Problem: The browser page running the game becomes blank and freezes. The only way to close the page is CTRL-ALT-DEL. It can happen in a few different places but mainly when I am on the map page browsing regions, enrolments, purchasing or refreshing the page.
I have been experiencing this problem for 12 months with the frequency of the crashes increasing. 6 months ago I experienced this problem once or twice per day. Now the crashing is occurring every 15 minutes.
I regularly update Flash, and I don't experience this type of problem anywhere else. My Laptop is otherwise stable.
Suggestions or workarounds are most welcome.

| use Mozilla Browser, which is best for this game,otherwise upgrade into IE8 which is more stable than other. |
| IE have worked on me ver y well so mozilla is not required i think problem is more likely on vista i have always got xp or 7. only heard bad thinks about vista.. |

You could be right. I can't stand Mozilla, but I have installed Chrome and the game hasn't crashed once.
I am reluctant to upgrade IE on Windows Vista as it results in a memory leak i.e. computer gets slower and slower until it is rebooted.
So Google Chrome it is it seems :)

The game froze twice on me during the event.
Both times, I got a message "scripts are making your browser run too slow, terminate?"
I was using Firefox.
This has never happened prior to this last update.
Also my scrolling initiative bar got messed up twice.
A unit would sort of get stuck at the beginning. It wouldn't really be it's turn but the battle flash kept showing it as next to move. |
