when you bid a ore and the gold you pay is like 180, and people beat your bid amount by 10 - / + and you dont want to waste 200 plus just to get a ore, i can tell you , You are DUMB. because , when you bid 180 gold you, ve already wasted 180 and you just waste another 20 gold to get your bid up to 200 and you can get the ore.but when you dont continue bidding and want to buy a cheaper, you go buy a new one. But at the cover of the book you see the word 200 gold and its like you waste another two hundred gold, but inside the book, you just waste another 20( it is obviously wasting more if you go buy a NEW ore. ) At the end , you waste around like 2 times the gold to buy a ore, so i would suggest once you bid something, continue to bid.
i would like the warrior of lwm to give some ratings like + / - . I would accept any of your suggestion.

well have u ever made a bid?
if u bid 180 and some one bids more that 180 is not a waste u get the money back
+ if u bid alot at once ( need to take an eg.)
for an ore suppose u have bid 1000
and some one else has not bid on it or if he/she has bid around 190
u l lose only 191 even though u have bid 1000

Ok, after reading it like 100 times, I think I get your message, which is:
1) When we bid 180 gold we already wasted 180 gold, so we should bid again since we will only waste 20 gold.
My argument: THIS IS UNTRUE. If someone outbids you, you get your gold back. In this case, 180 gold. Otherwise, this auction system is messed up.
2) Buying a new ore would cost 180 + 180 gold, so more than 20 gold
My argument: This is rendered invalid as if someone outbids you, you get your gold back.
...And that pretty much renders the rest of your argument invalid.

u should know when we place a bid say 1000 gold our gold is reduced by 1000 gold
when some 1 else bid 1010 gold over same thing his gold is reduced by 1010 gold and u get your 1000 gold back
