Why him have so big dmg and speed too? |
as you said, it is a MONSTER |
It is a MQ quest and mob in "monster"-type MQ has slightly higher damage than its same and weaker counterpart that u see in hunt or in any other place. |
Check here the monsters and have fun :

If you want to know how to kill him, you just need to take some crossbowmen and good arts and up your knowledge and spell power to cast "Discruption ray". If you have those things your can easily kill him) |
if you have crossbows you don't need disruption ray, since they can use aimed shot |
Won't large shield effect kicks in?
I mean with aimed shot ability, the damage will be greater due to defence ignored. However, won't large shield effect reduces the overall ranged damage by 50%? |
Discruption ray needed because knights have and other units like griffins or monks and there isn't 100% that crossbowmen will use aimed shot. |

against monsters dis. ray is not needed as knight, because x-bow will do the main damage. So better use efforts on other things than dis. ray.
And of course you can get aimed shot against a swordsman monster |

Aimed shot:
Ranged attacks against targets within 3 tiles take greater ranged damage from this creature (target's defense is considered to be zero).
It is not a triggered ability, it is permenant, as long as the enemy stack is within 3 tiles of the crossbowmen the aimed shot will take effect, and enemy stack will be considered at zero when shot by crossbowmen. |
@ Zioblade + Dragonflayer
Large shield does reduce range dam. by 50 %, so it will also reduce damage done by x-bow aimed shot. But the ability to remove defence from monster makes it powerful so it should be easy anyways |
The large shield ability effects the damage taken when attacked by range enemys. It does not effect the amount of damage done by your troops on the enemy.
Yea, I know but I am referring to post #6 when I give that #7 reply.

O.o
I thought the game flows something like this:
1. Calculate ranged damage dealt with the effect of aimed shot.
2. The overall damage is dealt to swordsmen. However, because of the large shield effect, the overall damage is reduced by half before dealing it to swords. |
if you have crossbows you don't need disruption ray
But knights have other creatures and crossbowmen arrows aren't unlimited. Then if the monster atacked your crossbow, with discruption ray on monster you still have a big chance to kill him with other creatures while he atacking crossbows.
P.S. I don't said that you need to kill monster only with your crossbowmen, because it impossible :) |

Huh? Crossbowmen are capable of dealing more damage than the rest of your army put together. If you meet high level monsters, your other troops are only there to protect your crossbowmen for as long as possible. |
@ ShAdOwOlFiReMan:
U see this battle ? Its one of ur one:
https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=495143269
I ve counted it exactly:
Troops dmg, except xbows: 643
Dmg xbows: 2327
So: The amount of dmg dealt by the rest of ur troops is only 27% of the full dmg. If u had taken Bless instead of disrupt, u wouldnt have lost griffins and the fight would have been faster. |
Why him have so big dmg and speed too?
Hm. Asked by a level-9 player, who's supposed to have done over 200 merc quests??? |
and still xbows alwayshas enough shots lol.... |
