Thread title says it all. Sitting on a burning question? Having sleepless nights over a bothersome problem? Fear not, for help is here =)

As for why I answered his question, well, it's the first question, I have to answer it somehow. |
Rajiv pays for his dinner with a Rs.100 note. The dinner costs Rs.70 and the water bringing back Rs.30 decides to pocket Rs.20 and hands him only Rs.10. Now Rajiv has received Rs.10 and has thus paid Rs.90 for a dinner. The waiter has kept Rs.20, thus making Rs.110 in all.Please find out as to where has the extra Rs.10 come from?

First lock, then delete, then ban. But some would prefer to ban first, then delete, then lock, depending on the situation. So, no hard rules for this.

so there's no point in adding it once again.
total expense: Rs.70(cost)+Rs.20(tip or whatever)=Rs.90
total money paid=Rs.100
hence, money received=Rs.10

@ post 11 - You can't mix money of 2 different vies together.
You have to explain them 1 by 1.
the customer paid 90 usd and received 10 back making it 100
the waiter received 100, payed the kitchen 70, gave 10 back to the customer and kept 20 which is also 100 usd. |
