Surely the biggest "Ethical" issue on this server is the ominpresent league of cheaters that have always proliferated.
If an "Ethics Council" is to be appointed and backed by the administration, it would have to be empowered in some way with the ability to penalise those breaching "ethical guidelines".
Surely breaches of the General Game Rules are a more pressing ethical issue than MC behaviour? The "Ethics Council's" first job would almost inevitably have to be clean up the CaA - Finance & Others forum back-log?

@2. I think it is talking about what an ethics council should do. Modi's thread which he closed was talking about if an ethics council should be formed. I think you can see the difference.
The threads that were closed by someone wielding a power that should be acknowledged and respected on the forum, the mods, were the threads which were talking about ethics violations in the Demon War, and this doesn't touch that, and wont, as the mod said to leave it alone.
Cheating is obviously the biggest ethical problem on the server without doubt. A MC Ethics council is to me like putting lipstick on a pig while ignoring the elephant in the room.

Wrong, the "Ethical" issue that Modi talked about, is to set some king of rules and enforcers, for the actions taken by some players/alliances that have no rules right now.
Cheaters are already banned when found, we have a rule about them and people ready to enforce it. |

| I agree we need a way to deal with the literally hundreds of cheaters here.at time I think there are far more cheaters than Honest players.and Arctic doesnt have the time do deal with cheaters because he is doing development duties now |

Well, that should be a load off everyone's mind!
So what should be the first priority?
Battle Description violations? Repairs/Enchanting/presents between different players from the same IP? Perceived Membership "borrowing" from other MCs?
What should be the first item on a hypothetical "Ethics Council" plate?

The thing is since the previous one about "ethnic council" was closed why continue the talk? if he wasnted that something has to be done about cheaters, he could have created a topic without refering to to an idea about "ethnic councils". |

| @10. Cheating is one of the biggest ethics issues the server had. Any discussion about having a group of people deal with ethics can't ignore the largest ethics issue. Someone decided that a longer discussion on ethics was warranted due to this. Seems fine. |

what ethnics? We're an empire here. One ruler the Empress and nothing more...ethnic councils and such are for democrasy(mostly). Make the Empress adopt democrasy and then go on with your ethnic councils as long as you want. xD |

This is a game not real life there is no Empress get it.We are talking about putting someone(more than 1)in charge of eliminating all the hundreds of cheaters here.Unless that makes you fell uncomfortable for some reason.And if it does your part of the problem not the solution |

exactly! It's a game! Punishing cheaters is work of the admins. Sooner or later they will get theit punishment. If admins needed extra hands they would have asked. We can only report cheaters. That's all. I'm not saying that an extra hand in that section would be bad, but from creating threads for that reason won't make the admins ask for more hands. |

But in the mean time the cheaters are winning all the events so the honest people dont have a chance |
