Ah. You have fallen into the trap. The admins might see this topic and have a whopping great big grin on their faces. The ploy to get the gold out of you works. These guys want you to donate. They need the money to keep the project going and also make it worth their while. Why shouldnt they?
Of course they want you to spend your gold because then you are more likely to spend real money on diamonds. Just be wise and save your gold. Its exactly what I and many others do. I have enough to enjoy the event and earn some excellent fsp. Just got to think a bit more. |

This is false. If they wanted us to donate there would be much higher perks for doing so. Donating strictly for gold is very inefficient.
As I have said time and time again, managing your gold is an important part of the game. Lords of War and Money. It's called this for a reason.
Every single character is fully capable of sustaining their minimum arts and then some without donating. I personally have had very little problems sustaining a full set of shop arts as well as the min arts needed for simple battles.
Granted the recent stream of Events have made my gold dwindle... so many battles I have needed full arts for. Regardless, it is still possible to make gold and enjoy the game without donating. Events are not nearly mandatory and as long as you *try* for your Military Clan, you're doing your part. |

Yeup :) When an art dies, I sell it and rebuy it. I *almost* always can do it, and if not it doesn't take long to make the gold.
I always hover between 10-20k. There is little else I need the gold for, and I don't play the economy. All works out :) |

multiple castles, enchanted weaponry, 1/2 a million gold + resources.
Sorry I seem like a show off but im pretty proud of the empire I have built up. I don't have mobile enroll or anything like that, it just takes hard graft and the ability to compromise.
It's just about conserving the cash... |

In your case and many others its just about very slow playing, so you earn more than you spend by doing combats. |

Yes that is true, but I have made plenty of gold since GU2 and am very actively participating in the event. My gold is still on the up. |
Tell me. How often do you see a nation come out of a war richer than it was when it went in? Not often at all.
It's the same idea here. If you are going to fight full-time against the demons, you should be prepared to lose some gold. |
you're talking as if your gold is dissapearing all by itself, when you're doing nothing but enrolling. But of course it's going to dissapear if you're actually actively spending it.

i have much less enroll than you darmogathel. i may be lower level but i don't fight every single day and do tournament. you just need to spend your gold more wisely.

This has been a big question in the forums; either in the form of a complaint or actual inquiry. How to effectively manage gold. It seems most players don't even understand that Roulette is a gold sink; as is the Tavern (though much less so).
Someone needs to write a sticky on the subject. I had a good thread about it a while ago... but it got lost over time :\ |

but his basic idea is correct: enroll more and fight less. His CL does not mean that he could not say the right thing.
that's the way it is: if you want to have fun, you need to spend gold, and if you want gold, you need to save and "suffer" a little. This is also what u do in the real life, right? =) |
Not to long ago Arctic made a post that hinted to future changes taking place that would somehow decrease the need for gold. But he said before this could happen a large amount of gold had to be removed from the system (players), which could take a long time.

Well that's good considering every change increases the need for gold...
enchantment changes (remember 10 elements for 10%!? 0_o)
hunter's guild changes to an extent, no 1/2, 1/3 hunts means you need better arts for harder hunts to get the same amount of points
laborer's guild recalibration
workaholic penalty
commander's guild is just a gold sink...
