AuthorPrize for reporting cheaters?
I just discovered this:

https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=2

"If the mistake you have uncovered really is a mistake and the cheater proved to have played unfairly, you might receive a prize for your observation powers. And sometimes a very considerable prize, indeed."

Did it ever happen? xD
Bah hahahaha. Amazing the things they write in the rules.....
hahahaha
it seems tte prize is:

16. Game Administration is not an instrument of vengence to your offender. Characters caught creating topics like "I think there’s something wrong here – check him!" to retaliate at someone will be banned.
It means .. there will be no prize ?
Maybe it was wishful thinking of admins in the beginning.
my reward was year ban:p they just got weird way to see something as a prize maybe on kids they didn't get any presents and are now revenging itXD or its wrote back time when arctic weren't even born. I'm guessing early 1900and they have forgotten it till now nutella as a first person actually read the rules found it^^
No wonder sometimes you see people around asking for rewards after reporting things around.
That rule has been there ever since I started playing. It's part of the reason I made over 100 reports of cheaters.
@Pantheon:

And did u get anything? :)
for Pantheon:
was award huge...?))
once i got a 30 day ban, very nice gift from the admins :)

Pfff.. sold your sold for a few pennies, buddy... :p
Edit -

Pfff.. sold your soul for a few pennies, buddy... :p
I have reported at least 20 myself so this rule has never come in to play with me

for Eurena:
My reward? My reward was watching my reports stay ignored for almost a year before the admins started to go through it (or were reading other people's reports) and start blocking. I've stopped reporting a long time ago.

I had too much spare time waiting for someone to trigger my 1.5 hr ambush wait times. Between answering your random noob questions and the resetting my ambushes, I had a few spare minutes to report players. It wasn't even that hard. I had like a 25% hit rate on random checks (which could easily have been much higher if I only checked suspicious names). The hard part was tracking all the multis. Some people made layers and layers of multi networks that look like branches of a tree.

But I gave up my reporting practice when I saw that nothing was being done with my reports, so I concentrated on helping noobs like Jedi who always manage to ask the weirdest questions like a little kid would. Now look at how big and strong he has grown.... *tears up*
so I concentrated on helping noobs like Jedi who always manage to ask the weirdest questions like a little kid would.

Hahaha.. that has to be 1 of the funniest lines I have heard since joining this game! Reading that alone made today worth living. And mostly true to boot. :D

But hey, what's 'weird' to you, is genuinely a 'must-know-or-I-can't-sleep' query to me. So lemme take this opportunity to say a great big 'THANKS' to you. :)
I also got the prize twice....two long bans for legitimate reports of cheaters. I got both bans lifted...pfft. Learned some things too.

1. Don't report unless Arctic is around to bail you out
2. If someone is having a bad day, they will just toss out week long bans for no reason
3. Don't bother them with work
4.The vengeance clause is used in a ridiculous manner. Er, how do these people think we find cheaters? We run into them in battle, in the markets, and other places. Some of us don't like to compete against cheaters so check players out when we are ambushed or see them selling in the market. If the accused turns out to be a cheater, no clause should be used against the reporter.

"Hurry, close the thread down now! They are telling the truth about us!"
I have reported at least 20
lol... the topic has collected up hardened reporters/ I'm just about to CaA now too:) watch that reward to be...

The way I read it, I think that reward thing is more for reporting game bugs leading to unfair financial gains.

In which case, the ethical thing to do is to inform the game developers, and not to exploit it. The "cheaters" in that phrase I think refers to those who exploit the game bugs.

I concur, especially with points 3 and 4.
