There is no mandatory LG level imposed on you. The game will still be normal vene if you're at LG Zero.
But because of compulsory equipment/Min AP necessary to take part in a hunt, you do need some gold in reserve. If you're asking how much LG you need to make that comfortably, well, that varies from player to player. It's completely up to you to decide.
