You only lose the reserve skeletons you take into battle if you lose the battle.

You only lose the reserve skeletons you take into battle if you LOSE the battle.
You also lose some of them if you WIN the battle and some of them die. |
You also lose some of them if you WIN the battle and some of them die.
And lastly if you win the battle without any of them dying, then you lose 0 skeletons. Also you gain extra as per the combat message at the end. |
