Author | Bidding in Market |
I had bid for a ring. But whatever i bid, the bid amount was rejected, since someone was bidding it higher than me. But the person who was placing the higher bid was offline at that time and still was able to place the bid higher to me. I tried bidding higher 5 or 6 times and still the result was the same.
I think he must have put in auto bidding or something. Can someone explain to me how it came to be?
(I am sorry that that auction expired,or i would have put that page here) |
u would be gitting message u r outbidden by (another player)
it's because he already has high bid and u r bidding less that the actual bid he done |
So lets say the bid amount is 100 at the moment, and it allows you to bid 3 higher than him, then if i bid for 200 then wont the bid amount be 200? So how can i place a higher bid? |
The problem is you didnt really bid higher then him.
Lets say a person offers up to 5000 for an item, this person 1 is the first to place the bid. The item was set for minimal 500 gold, so the system will bid 505 gold and each time someone else tries to buy the same item through auction, game raises the bid automatically until it hits the preset roof.
Its normal game feature, you only have to offer more than others if you want the item. |

Ordinary auction. It is an auction where the creator places a lot to sell an item. The character with the highest bid at the moment when the auction expires is considered the winner of the lot. The buyer can take part in auctions, increasing bids gradually or setting his or her highest bid right away. In the latter case, the program will effectuate gradual bids instead of the buyer, even if he or she goes offline, but won't bid higher than the preset maximal bid.
