When I worked for Arctic as "juries" we were told that accounts counted towards the limit of 3 regardless whether they were main, additional or blocked.
From this I would say that if someone who has already had 3 (or more) accounts blocked then creates a new one there is a very high chance of this one also being blocked in the future. |
So what of there is a cheater who really likes this game, and maybe didnt know he was cheating cuz he ignored the rules.
his main and multies get blocked, and he wants to make a new character to play the game right, but cant, cuz he has already had 3+ characters.
so he is blocked from lordswm forever. that seems rather unfair. |
Some people say it is unfair that you cant provide financial assistance from your multis.
Some people say it is unfair that you cant level up quickly by fighting staged battles against yourself.
Some people say it is unfair that you cant give all your worth to another player (or your new level 1) when you quit the game.
But that is just the way it is.
People are warned early on to read the rules and ignorance of them is no excuse. Anyone being unable to play any more because of this will have learned a valuable life lesson which may help them in other games they play. They will also find that most people have little sympathy for cheats. |

Rule 1.1. Ignorance of the following rules does not relieve the responsibility for their violation.
RL situations/example. Quite some years ago an American student went to (I believe) Singapore. He tagged some buildings and such with grafiti. He was told simply that the consequence for this was caning.
Did he know this before he started spraying? No.
Did that foolish little kid get canned? You betcha.
Do you think that kid will ever take a trip to another country and tag something there? Quite certain he won't. ;)
Let's hope that your 'friend' has learned his lesson and that wisdom will teach him to check the game rules of the new game he goes and plays now. |

Anywho, I'm quite sure you're wrong about this. There are plenty of indians playing this game and excluding them would be against the admins own rule of racism, not to mention stupid as per a business standpoint.
However, unless you are the person latawica was speaking about when they opened this thread then you should know that you're hijacking a topic with your own questions. Tsk tsk. And if you, then you've only made it easier to have this character blocked as well... |

What do you mean by 'cheater'?
Someone who does financial assists? Stages combats/games?
I am not aware of anywhere that allows such things.
If you are referring to subtleties in rules like the 30% gift, or the multichar rule, then it is unfortunate.
However, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
I would say that if someone who has already had 3 (or more) accounts blocked then creates a new one there is a very high chance of this one also being blocked in the future.
There is no harm trying to create a new legitimate character following all the rules, and plead for clemency. There is no guarantee that it will be safe though.

I made this topic not to discus about why chars are blocked or not.

I won't enter the debate about fairness or subtleties of rules knowledge. Pointless discussion, in my humble opinion.

YES.
Ask a new fixed IP address to your Internet provider if you want to be sure, then no one will ever know that previous blocked / unblocked accounts originated from this computer. Let's hope this person won't be stupid enough to log in with any of his previous characters.
Also, use a different email address for password recovery, and you may enjoy the game with a brand new identity.

You're probably right - and that's the problem: probably. Nothing in rules states anything over blocked characters counting towards the limit. And no official voice is there to approve or disprove any interpretation.
And why a player genuinely willing to play the game by the rules should expose himself to penalties in a random future, because of lack of clarity in rules?
Therefore, I suggest latawica to use the risk-free recipe I give in post #17, and he will never have anything to fear, even if administration finally choose the most restrictive and blind interpretation of the rules. |
