Heres a suggestion for all the people with TGI's out there.
I want you to think about a balanced economy and supply and demand. Lets say you have a company that costs 350 million dollars. If i buy that company, the reason its value would go up would be because the things it sold would be worth more, or more needed, correct?
That was just a little analogy for you to think about. Here is the suggestion- TGI prices have more than doubled since TGI leasing became illegal, making TGI's more than two times harder to get, and therefore everything about the Thieves Guild is over two times as valuable. So my suggestion is that seeing as everything about the Thieves Guild is over double as valuable as it used to be, arent the thief arts as well?
I know ive said it twice, but my suggestion is that the price for all thief artifacts goes up by 2X what it used to be.
Please, to those people who do not have a TGI or do not like the idea because they are buyers of TG arts, only think about this in a business type point of view, don't think of it personally.
Finally, I know there are some downfalls ex. perhaps the arts aren't worth that much, but you have to remember how rare it is to get the arts. It takes around 100 battles to get just the first one, and now way less people are able to gain tgi's. Please point out some of these downfalls so that i can analyze them and figure out how much the arts are worth now >:D |
first people need to do 600 successful ambush to obtain their own TGi that is if they have rented it before,and with the new thieving changes you would need along time with min set,shorter with full but they would be around the same considering with set your winning rates would be 1\4-5 and with full would be around 1\1-2 that is if they werent more
and in either case player would lose alot of gold and time so they try to find a reasonable price for their efforts
and think that if you had a 350$million company and you busted your ass on it for 20 years and then some one would buy them fromyou with 400$ million so i don`t think you`d accept,don`t you?
you should think about not the money only but the time also and much other things :) |

I am not really sure what your question is. Are you saying that your idea is that all thief arts should double in price as from now?
The price of theif arts are set by the age old principle of supply and demand. People with the arts want to sell for as much as they can. People buying arts will put their own value on them (depends on many factors but mainly what does an equivalent art cost to get similar stats, how much gold do they have, are they trying to get a whole thief set).
If the sellers set their prices too high then they will not sell anything and therefore prices will drop.
If prices are too low then all the cheaper ones will quickly sell and price will rise.
Still not really sure what your original idea was but hope the above is relevant.

It makes little difference overall whether you ambush with min arts, medium arts or full arts. The majority of your ambushes are v's caravans and they adjust in difficulty to the arts you are wearing so the win/loss ratio is the same whatever you wear (only the cost per battle is different). |
My suggestion was that people with thief arts sell them for more money than they are.
Post 2- I dont understand your point exactly, however i wasn't saying they should sell the company. I was saying that the companies worth went up because they were able to make of whatever it is they were selling worth more.. and if this company now worth 700 million is the only company that can sell this thing, then i would think they would sell it for a higher amount of money (because now they have more investers etc. and were able to refine this item, and because everybody wants it and they are the only ones who can sell it, the demand is high enough for a boost in price)
Perhaps its not the greatest analagy.. and btw it doesnt matter if you've rented it or not either way you only get one tgi at level 5 TG..
Post 3- The price of theif arts are set by the age old principle of supply and demand exactly what i was confused about. I had expected to see an increase in prices of thief arts simply because of supply and demand. The TGI's now cost on market 750k. Much less people can afford them, meaning less people will be getting TG1, TG2, and so on.
As for what you said about the customers- i think that if the TGI buyers can adjust to the price so can the people buying artifacts.. just a theory... |
True - but you also need to consider what other shop artifacts (maybe enchanted) they can buy for the same price.
There comes a point where the Thief artifacts just become too expensive for the benefit they give.
The other thing to consider is that in many cases at higher levels a full set of thief artifacts is not as good as a full set of shop artifacts. As in general these are the players with the most gold (and before people post, yes I know there are some low levels with very large gold reserves) and therefore the largest percentage of the potential market.
I have also noticed that most thief artifacts now DO cost a lot more than they did last November before the rule changes. |
Disagree...Prices on arts on market are completely up to players choice. If they wish to double price they will btu it wont sell i promise you that. This server hasnt been around that long and our prices are already at RU prices ¬_¬
There arent that many rich players that are in need of arts. majority of rich players are lvl 10+ and have full arts and are working towards enchants.
Personally i think you just came up with this idea as your TG1...Spent XXXX on TGI and want to sell your thief art for 2/3x the amount its currently worth on the market. |

the prices will go up over time but the effect will be gradual.. a lot of people are still levelling up thiefs guild.. even though the num,ber of new thieves has been reduces
when most thieves are high lev tg the output will slow down etc
but it could take a long time because thief arts don't get eaten up fast |

wait up for a few months, so far many ppl use their fresh invites, but after tg lvl 5 it takes several months to up it, which means fewer arts => higher price.
don't worry, your thief mask will cost 50k eventually :) |
