When I first played LWM, there are no advertisements popping up. Now, when I am playing LWM, I occasionally see some advertisements popping up in LWM webpage. (Like when I click battle or some buttons, I see an advertisement with "skip this ad" button on top and I have to click that additional button to proceed to some LWM pages.
The question is that are all these advertisements are put up by LWM? or is it me having some internet-whiz breaching my network security and putting up some advertisements while I am surfing LWM?
I just need some clarifications on this matter. |
| I think network security of yours has problem. I have no problems with advertisements during my game play. |
| Pardon me, game and forum admin. I have forgotten that I can only use my main character in the forum. (DarkSigner is my additional character.) My mistake, sorry. There is no delete button for me to delete my thread and restart it using my main. |
| Erm, one point to take note is that I am not saying that the advertisements occur frequently. It is like every 15 or 10 battles, one advertisement will be on LWM webpage. |
| That doesn't sound like a breach of security or any type of "hacker" situatin. It's probably just some adware or spyware you picked up. Just use your anti-virus/spyware/adware software and run a few scans. |
Hmm, ~10 or 15 battles, well, I don't get any advertisements at all.
What browser are you using?
I've used Safari, Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.53 (Current), and Google Chrome, no ad occurrence. |
Maybe you are right some ad-ware softwares might be at work. I will go run the scans. It could not be a virus because I ran a virus-scan during LWM birthday 8 hours ago. >.<
