| If I were to be caught by a theif,could I wait until the last few seconds to move?That way I could make them mad and make them leave to ensure a win? |
You could do that. It may even work. I, personally, would consider it an unethical way of trying to win, as it relies on forces outside the game to win the battle (many people have only a limited time to play the game).
As far as I am aware, there are no actual rules that would prevent this.

| there is no relevence to it. U could easily traavel without arts and with a small amount oof troops and jjust let them kill u. it wouldn't cost u any money (most thieves pay it back) and it would be a lot quicker than waiting til the last second to move. |
| i seen a few times people report that and a mod says theres no proof and other times people get punished whys that? there is no real proof enless they report as its going on |

Since i see you have never been a theif let me explain a few things to you that i did not know until i became a theif. Theiving is just another part of this fun game. The theif does not get to choose is they get to ambush a player or a caravan (I personally prefer the caravans), it is an experince in this game that you can only do by theiving. It adds another element to a players game (I love it, i just wish i could do it more). That is why I now travel with no troops, that way the theif hurrys up and kills the monks(1 monk per combat level), and they get alittle exp and a good amount of fsp, as well as a TG point.
So basically, they didnt pick you on purpuse, they are just playing the game, so why punish them for doing the same thing that you are doing? Having Fun. |

Then why stall? They are jut playing the game same as you. If you have the time, fight them with all your forces and try to win. If you dont have the time, then let them win (most give the gold back when asked), and go on to where you were travaling to. No harm no foul.
And as for your comment about having been a theif before. How? You are not a theif, neither of your alts have been theifs, so either you have never been a theif before, or you have had another account that you are not listing in your infor page. Which is it? |

You could get gold penalty if you are caught for bad sportsmanship.
Just play the game. How would you feel if someone did that to you? |
quick question about thieving - i am level 7 and have only been caught by a thief once (and beat him thank goodness cos i was wearing full arts!)
Do you get caught by a thief more often at higher levels? If so, at what level does it become more common and can you get a thief who is higher level than you? |

| Arts degrade in any fight. If you worry about being ambushed, travel with no arts. |
