| What does up mean? In the trade forums...people keep putting 'up' and i just don't get it. Can someone explain this to me? |

It brings their post to the top, so it's the one that shows on "most recent topic in forum" and is the first one people see

blatant economical bumping, as opposed to stealthy "extra info" costly bumping.
both achieve the same thing... |
| just think, "Would I want my topic at the front if there was a greater likelihood that it would be read by more chars?" If yes then it is a clear advantage to bump. |
