How can it be that all seem afraid of wizards in this tournament?
In my last few matches a wizard have been able to stand on its position and defend its troops until all others had beaten each other to death. If we just jump them, we will be able to eliminate them before their lightning and fireball spells kills us all.
Similarly, the only players I've seen by over 70% were wizard!
How about if we just pull ourselves together and put them in place instead to give them easy xp and skill points and even the tournament victory.

the problem is: when i start hunt wiz, other players not giving a hand but take advantage on whack my troops :\ |
The frustration is not against the wizards.
They just play the hand they are being dealt by all other players.
Last match I jumped the wiz from the beginning, and soon after a necro started hitting me. In the end The wiz and that necro was the two last ones, and guess who won? ;) |
three tactics;
A) attack the wizard => youre the first one that drops out.
B) protect the wizard => youre almost certain of second place.
C) ignore the wizard => keep your fingers crossed he wont attack you. |

| I agree with sven. People aren't afraid of the wizards' troops, we're afraid of lightning and fireballs raining down upon us. In this tournament, a lot of wizards have at least advanced sorcery, which means they can cast their spells that much more often. Which means that if you decide to attack a wizard alone you'll get zapped to death (unless you're a barb with high faction level) |

We're not plating for 2nd place. Everyone wants to win. It's just that if you pick a fight with a wizard, you'll get dropped first unless you get at least one other player to help with the wizard bashing. |

Exactly my point. Everybody are to afraid of the fireballs and lightning. If the players on each side of the wiz attacks him, he will not have time to use all his spells before he is dead. Other players can support by shooting enchanced gargs, disrupts ray and so on.
If you jump a wiz alone you will probably die as one of the first ones. Thats correct.
But what is the alternative? To watch a wiz sit back and defend and throw around with magic while everybody else fights each other. That is competion for second place in my world.

Why play for second place and give the victory to a wizard?
I think most people go for max exp / fsp and dont care about their position at all. If the wizard doesnt attack you, and other people do.
A huge stack of swordsmen, retaliation, stun and escort will give some nice exp
( 6500 exp and 7.5 skillpoints on average ) why would I risk all of that for a 50-50 chance to become first or last. |

The problem with Wizards is their troops are high def, high Hp. So you get in there to bash them, but as stated, get zapped, and don't get the XP you'd get bashing more offensively minded troops.
Get yourself a cape of winds and 6 barbarian levels and that will help a bit. :-)
But then a wiz won the last battle I was in. That was because the barb was a fool. I set it up so we could bash on the wizards gargoyles together. I did this by running in close enough to his hob stack that he could hit it.
Before, we'd been very cagey, moving our troops around not to give the other player the 1st strike. So it's an obvious signal to gang hit the wizard, and the fool hits me. :-( |

I move in to help the magic de kill off one of the wizards and guess what? BOTH wizards are now coming after me with their spells. And then at the end of the battle, I try to kill the might de off to get a higher rank, but the stupid magic de turns on me to kill me. he completely forgot the fact that I had been helping him throughout the entire fight! They weren't even clan mates! No surprise that the two wizards slugged it out in the end. |
obviously there was no problem with wizards playing without spells in throne battle.
