I regularly vote for lordswm on omgspider, here:

I registered on 'Lords' just to try it, why does it have much more points?
Well, the game is... Poor. Graphics, etc... It is far from being anything like our game. But still, they have more votes.
I accidentally found the reason. It says:
"- Vote on the sites below.
- The total number of votes reflects the crusade's success.
- When the crusade ends (after a few weeks), all votes from all sites are summed up.
- All players (in the whole game) get reward depending on the crusade's success."
Well, if our administration wants to have higher number of votes, maybe they should encourage players to vote. With something like this.
I don't know though, what kind of effect does this voting have on the server...

i read on some site that it is illegal to vote for some benefit.
it should just be voluntary. |

As many people have already noticed, we have a very strict policy towards players. You don't see ads here, all those nasty banners probably annoying you so much in other projects; you don't even have the "Vote!" button for marketing purposes. Players have a lot of freedom and comfort in this game, and once we promise something, we admins first of all do so to each other. - from Arctic

well ~6months ago before I left, they werent even allowed to give topics that let you vote a sticky, so it always appears on top.
So at least there is some progress... |
So far only 487 votes over a span of 10+ days :/
Just goes to show that <5% of the players actually visit the forums and take a peek in the OGF section~
In the .ru server there is a constant notice on the Character page reminding players to vote, we can get our votes to atleast 4-5x times with such a feature.
Further game incentives is a cherry on the top! |
| Is omgspider really a popular online games ranking site anyway? Cause i've never heard of it till Zyanya made the previous thread. Who visits these sites when they are searching for another game to play anyway. |
