well, if it is true that the more damage you do, the more XP you get, than a same hero attacking with RoA will do more damage than with a normal attack, thus he will end with more XP (in a multiplayers battle, of course - if he hunts alone, no difference at all).
Then it depends on the rest of the troops, because hero's damage remains quite relative in the course of a battle..
