From my understanding. After Z, the GT team (creators, writers, staff etc...) decided to go back to their roots.
By that they decided to be more like the original Dragon Ball than more like Z. Focusing more on the comedic story line than action.
Years ago I completed watching every episode of Dragon Ball Z. I always loved reading the manga for Dragon Ball, so I watched all of that series (finished just a week ago). And so now I've decided to check out GT.
Compared to the older original dragon ball, gt is an epic failure so far. I'm only on episode 7, but thats cuz its not very interesting so far. All these episodes so far could have ended with a single punch but instead they have the heroes acting powerless or something. Boooo
I can see why GT got canceled. Well so I heard it was canceled. I also heard the original artist Akira was no longer involved in the project after Z. Can someone tell me the truth behind some of these matters. I also heard that towards the end GT tried to return to the Z ways but had lost so much fan base at that time, that I was inevitably canceled.
So I've watched all of YuYu Hakusho, all of Dragon Ball, 150 episodes of Bleach (at 145 they are no longer dubbed, all subtitled and I just don't like reading and trying to watch fights at the same time, if I have to read while they are fighting it makes me miss stuff, so I just rather not). I tried so watch Samurai X but after the 4th whatever they are called, couldn't find anymore of those either. Kenshin was pretty cool.
Naruto is cool but I just can't bring myself to want to watch all of his adventures yet. And for some reason I no longer find Baki the grappler that interesting. Maybe cuz of so few episodes I've found.
So any other cool martial arts animes out there I should check out? By the way, Bleach z d shiznit! | | Samurai X is the first 4 ovas. There are 2 more ovas after that.
