Can I make a duel and have a non-official bet on it? So I tell the other play to bet 100 gold, for example, and that goes to whoever wins. Is it allowed? | It isn't allowed. | 1.It is against the rules.
2.If it really is such funny amount of gold, I wouldnt be so afraid. It would be sick to report and penalise someone for 100 gold bet on battle. But on the other hand..it will take about 10 minutes for someone to report you as a "staged combat".
3.The sad thing would be if you really get a penalty for such thing and the same penalty as some guy who ambushed his multi 50 times. But thats life. System isnt perfect.:-( | #3

I never understood the reason behind this rule. But I know better than to ask, because if I do, a moderator will either delete my post or close the thread again. | The reason is for shifty transfers not to take place. And I am not a mod. :-) Just a little helper. Trying to help and so on.. | for Geryon:
The reason for the "No side betting" rule?
To prevent abuse of possible cash transfers through the system
To actually save the economy since it stops "professional" fighters. If people can get tons of gold without enrolling, without contributing to the economy (and not through the 'fair' system of roulette), it'll cause much problems.
Side-betting is not controllable and not loggable
Are we a community of gamblers that we need yet another source of gambling when we already have 2?

Don't forget, we are all players still. And individuals. Not brainless slaves. |
