can someone plz tell me how does enchanting weapons give extra attack or enchanting armour gives extra defence?
i mean how much additional atk per percent enchant |
It's not attack characteristic-related, but damage related.
If you have a stack dealing 100 damage and a 10% Water enchant, the stack will deal 110 damage. |
for coolsunny1404:
The enchant's % is a direct increase to the damage you deal for weapons. 1% weapon enchant mean 1% more damage, 5% weapon enchant means 5% more damage, etc.
For armour, each 1% reduces the damage you take by 1% and so on. |
3
is that true? If I equiped with 4x10% armor n 4X10% shield will I only suffer 20% dmg? |
for darmogathel:
Ok,
Firstly, the Armour enchants only protected against the elements. Fire armour enchants only reduces fire damage, water armour enchant reduces only water damage, etc
The weapon enchantments' damage bonus are of the type the enchantment is: Air weapon enchantments' bonus damage is of the "Air" type, weapon enchantments' bonus damage is of the "Earth" type, etc.
Secondly, all bonuses are not purely additive, but multiplicatively additive across similar bonuses.
ie,
100% - (100%-X%)(100%-Y%)....(100%-Z%)
Thus 4x10% armor and 4x10% shield will get you only
100% - (100%-10%)(100%-10%) = 19% vs each element type. |
So a sword with 10% fire enchant still too overpowered an armor with 20% fire enchant?
Lord with 10% fire enchant sword deal additional 8% fire damage??
Takesister please answer! |

I'll try to reply myself...
Using 100 damage as a basis, a 10% fire sword will inflict 10% fire damage.
A 20% fire protected armor will remove 20% from this extra damage, so in the end the 100 damage will become 108 damage, 8 of them being of fire type. |
Oh...
Expensive armor enchant with useless effect
Sorry, no intention to insult armor enchanter. I just try to reveal the fact |
But the armor enchant doesn't reduce only elemental type spell damage? |
Armor enchant is very useful against some caravans and spell using players.
But very very useful is armor enchant with moonstones. It lowers the attack of stack that hits you granting you physical damage resistance this way. |
OK, so only armor enchant with moonstones is useful right?
Also DE caravan has magic piercing ability that makes magic protection enchanted armor rather useless |
Its not that it is the only useful. Its just better for most pvp battles because it protects against physical damage.
Fire is good against fireballs.
Earth is good against most enchanted weapons and poison(necro).
Air against lightning and magic arrow.
Water..I wouldnt go for water right now. |
I can't calculate the damage modified by 10sp necro poison with 10% earth enchanted weapon vs 20% enchanted armor. I think enchantd armor still inferior |
oh ok .
i got it |
for darmogathel:
Spells are not increased by Weapon damage. They are increased by Jewellery enchants. So poison is not increased in your example.
Having multiple armour enchants can stop the spells others throw at you. When you face tons of spells in PvP and PvM, it'll help.
for coolsunny1404:
Glad to help.
