| How do you do a double hunt- where two players play against 2 different creatures?? |
There is a random chance if both players accept the hunt at the same time AND are +/- 1 level of your character AND one of you triggers "the xxx take to their heels" event.

Each hunt, there is a small chance the "TTTH" occurs. When that occurs, the game checks if there is anyone else of +-1 level of you starting a hunt at the same location at that time, waiting maybe for some time for the other person.
Only then is there a joint hunt. If there is no one else where you are, +-1 level of you and starting a hunt, the TTTH fails and your hunt continues as normal. |

It is possible, but you will need pretty many attempts because as Straws said, there is a small chance to get TTTH for both of you (about 5% per player if I remember well). |
