AuthorMagic piercing, proof, shield, immunity
in this topic started a discussion but I have to say I am still quite confused
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1865467&page=last

Can anyone clearly state:

- what is magic XXXX and how it works?
(XXXX is piercing, proof, shield, immunity)
Magic piercing -> does damage through the shield, e.g. golems have 50% magic shield, so they take 50% less elemental magic damage, however with magic piercing for DE, they will pierce some of this shield, so if they had 50% magic piercing they would do 75% of their spell damage to golems, (they pierce half the magic shield).

Magic proof -> Unicorn special ability, it means when an allied unit is next to them, then they will take 30% less elemental magic damage.

Magic shield -> Golem/Modern Golem ability, golem has 50% magic shield, which reduces elemental magic damage by 50%, modern golem has 75% magic shield, reduces elemental magic damage by 75%

Magic Immunity - > Gargoyle/Elemental Gargoyle special ability, when the elemental spells are cast on these creatures that they are immune to, they do zero damage, so gargoyles take no damage from the lightning spell, elemental gargoyles take no damage from fire/water/lightning elemental spells.

Key Note: Magic piercing also pierces magic immunity, and jewelenchants will also cause elemental damage to be done to magic immunity, albeit not very much.
Magic proof is also the barbarian special ability. Not sure if Unicorn's Aura of Magic Proof works the same, should be, but barbarian Magic Proof not only provides protection against elemental damaging spells, but also Darkness(Holy too?) and nature spells.
#3: For sure they aren't immune to Chastise :D
protection against elemental damaging spells, but also Darkness(Holy too?) and nature spells

Not sure how to correct this statement of yours. It's inaccurate in so many ways.
