Does anyone know the rules that defines the attack order in hunts.
I always thought that it was the creature with the highest iniative or a combination of iniative and atack reach.
But the latest hunt confused me.
We both had shrews and my huntpartners shrews had higher iniative and higher shrew count and even so I was further away from target I was attacked.
Anyone can explain? |
quote from FAQ:
"The pre-combat positioning of units on the bar happens with a random deviation of 0% to 10%"
after the first turn, stack with higher ini goes sooner than stack with lower ini. |
I suppose he asked why he was attacked first when his partner had better qualities (higher initiative and more shrews). |
Well, obviously it was much more effective for them to attack your shrews. You have slightly worse defense, and each of your shrews does much more damage than each of your partner's shrews, because of your Offense talents. |
I guess it makes sense to consider atttack values but still doesn't answer the question.
Is there a way/formula that lets you work out who will be the next target? |
The defense in important, computer attacks lower defense first if all else equal. Computer attacks troops with highest attack (most potentially dangerous) first if all else equal. Shrews first, crossbowmen next, GMB third. You might manipulate which target the computer chooses by splitting your troops. |

when one splits stacks during a duel (e.g. splitting 32 demons into 30-1-1.) How can you make sure that the 1 stack demons go before the 32 stack demons? does placement on pre-battle matter? |
correction on previous post
How can you make sure that the 1 stack demons go before the 30 stack demons? (just using demons as an example here. my question applies to all stacks from all factions.) |

No formula. Just guessing is all we have. Higher initiative, ranged, no retal ability, high attack, most damage, lower defence. Anything that you would think about to improve your position and win. Also they dont seem to attack stacks with best defence or stacks with low number(less than 5). But no official formulas were released on this and I doubt there will ever be.

No you cant, we suppose there is a +/- 10% starting initiative. Placement or number of units in stacks cant change it. |
No formula for you. Maybe this is wrong but maybe because you attacked them first? That might be one of the reason.
