No I am not talking about a clan. F5 is a key on the keyboard and is used to refresh your browser window.
While my congratulations is sincere, I'm sorry but I will be exposing a quasi secret of the game.
Congratulations to those who have the patience to buy lots of resources and then move quickly at any opportunity to sell them at the factories when the opportunity arises.
I regularly hang out at East Bay where the F5 heroes often hangout, but I have also observed the same F5 behaviour happen at the Great Capital.
Firstly to expose the secret.
Buying raw materials to sell at the factories does not provide much of a reward. Usually the profit is 5 gold or less. But what if someone is well stocked with resources and partially processed materials like nickel, magic powder and steel, and spends an entire hour refreshing their screen (every few seconds) and monitoring enrolment times so they can sell a lot of items in an hour?
Doing this can provide over a 1000 gold profit in an hour for the patient and coordinated merchant, possibly a lot more.
The trick is to refresh the screen every few seconds or know in advance when an enrolement is about to occur. When a factory has some spare gold and enrolment places the clever F5 hero will sneak into the factory to sell the resources as players enrol. Getting 10 - 15 sales as players enrol does have an attraction, despite the profit being small on each individual sale.
Cheers | Maybe something new for you. Any players that succeed in any game read guides, even if they choose not to use the information given, they take them into reference. There is a guide somewhere holding this long released "secret". Some of us just ain't smart enough to read that.

F5 is not a good way, though :)
one of many reasons why i never upgraded Firefox to 3rd version is that ff 2 has a "GO" button at the end of address bar which refreshes page much faster than F5 key does.
and it's a good way to earn a lot of gold if you are already rich.
there is one good way i would recommend to everyone not so crazy about cash as, as you named them, F5 heroes. when you find yourself in a location where you can buy cheap resources, like wood in EB, ore in SH, mercury in YL, steel, nickel, crystal, gem, and magic powder - anywhere, you buy some, and when you enroll, sell it - if there is a need for resources.. eventually u sell everything even if you don't use ecostat page. that way, i never joined the F5 guild, but after all those months of playing, i figure, i've earned at least 100,000-200,000 so far in a very relaxed way
oh, and avoid buying sulfur for this activity, there is always too much sulfur. we all know why :)

4. Sell resource to factory.
Some people is doubt how much you can earn buy selling resource to factory. Here I can tell you that every hour you can earn around 200 gold to 1000 gold +++. You need to know every factory production time, reach there before factory production time. Waiting there, when you see people enroll, sell the resource to factory fast. After finish enroll, travel to next factory and repeat the same process. You need to travel a lot. Do this if you got time.

At first I described it a quasi secret , so lets minimise the sarcasm please marked_one. If I want to be mocked by anyone I will ask first.
There are a moderate number of players who every few seconds of every hour are constantly refreshing their browser windows (usually by hitting the F5 key)to keep those factories fully stocked with resources. And my point is they get in there quick and fast. Any stock level that falls to 95% gets brought back up to 100% within 15 seconds provided there is enough cash at the factory to do so.
This topic is a salute to those who have the patience to do this sort of thing. And there seems to be more than a few that do.
