Author | "Not horseradish has not understood!" |
Hi!
I've encountered this sentence, several times.. ^^
Can someone tell me the history of this? Who said it? Why? When? |
A reference to a certain Druid with speach impediments who's featured in this game's storyline (yes, it has one :)

Interesting. Can you elaborate? |
Interesting facts: the Druid guest claims to possess a Hermit rank. Empire elves learn that fact with impressive astonishment.
"-Not horseradish has not understood! - an acute impatient voice of a young squire disturbed the silence." is a reference to a long-forgotten thread in General Game Forum that shows all the wonders of automatic Internet translation, thus should not be taken seriously and considered an Easter egg.

I don't get it. What is that expression a translation for? What is it really supposed to be? Or is it utter nonsense? |
It refers to something which has no understanding due to different level of knowledge or language or just stupidity. E.g., how would you comment the phrase: "Neutrinos can get their non-vanishing masses using the seesaw mechanism"? (please, do not ask me to explain it! :D) |
for CGSMCMLXXV:
Due to the intricacies of quantum mechanics at the conceptual level, two neutrinos of a certain class can exist, with one having zero mass and the other having comparatively larger mass through conceptual application of the Higgs coupling theorem within the Higgs mechanism, by which all particles get their mass.
for Geryon:
I believe that it due to translation 'weirdness' between Russian and English.
If you take the Russian name of Grandmaster Bowmen (as given on the RU Top Hunters page) and place it in a Russian-English translator, you may just get a good laugh at what Grandmaster Bowmen eat.
Thus the phrase "Not horseradish has not understood!" is due to bad translation of a phrase in Russian to English |
for Takesister:
Quantum Mechanics doesn't have too much to do with that. The Standard Model of Elementary Particle Physics, as it was constructed, assumed the neutrino mass zero, and so all the particles are considered there to interact only with the "left-hand" chirality. To save the model itself, the "right-hand" neutrinos are considered with very high mass.
Nevertheless, nice way to get someone lost in words. :P
I suppose, the genuine Russian expression can be applied to what a taxi driver (no offence for the taxi drivers) would say about this discussion. :) |
lol
Thanks guys. That was rather entertaining. |

and so what was it actually...?
