3.13.3. Additional characters are not allowed to transfer items for repairing or enchanting.
Does this mean that my additional character should not transfer items for repairing or enchanting to any other character of the game?
sorry to open this topic again but I need to understand it clearly to avoid complications. |
You are correct. A multi cannot send any item to another player or his own main for repair. |
But you can send it to another char that is not yours. |
for wildwild:
Nope. You can't so that either. No transferal at all, be it to your character or someone else's |
And General rules(https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=5)
3.13.1. Additional characters are not allowed to loan, lend or borrow any game valuables.
3.13.2. Additional characters are not allowed to enchant or repair other players' items.
3.13.3. Additional characters are not allowed to transfer items for repairing or enchanting.
3.13.4. Additional characters are not allowed to take or give items for rent.
Your additioanl character can't use the transfer feature at all. |
A multi cannot send any item to another player
Ooops! I am sorry I got it wrong and I have violated this rule... :(
I won't use transfer feature of my multi's anymore.
Thanks for clearing it out though. |
What a stupid rules.
I'm sure that those rules 3.13.1 - 3.13.4 wasn't there before (several days agao they wasn't there).
When did they appeared?
Yesterday?
Is it Arctic's fault? :)
Those rules actually prevents any action for multi (except hunt and mercenary quests).
What is the point for allowing multi then? |
for Robai:
they have been there since january or february earlier this year |
so, it's very simple. What additionals can do now are enroll and battle. |
for Straws:
Several days ago I've really read those rules (when in some forum Kotrin posted many links to all rules).
There was a rule 3.13, but the rules 3.13.1, 3.13.2, 3.13.3 and 3.13.4 wasn't there (maybe I didn't noticed them, but I doubt it). |

They have been there for a a couple of months, you must have overlooked them |
What I fail to understand is the logic of them.
It seems to me that it is based on the assumption that additional characters are only there so as to try out different ideas and as practice. I do not see why they have this viewpoint. I would view an additional character as equally important, just taking a different route. However, this view point is not accomodated in the rules. Equally these rules restrict actions, but not in a way as to restrict any obviously illegal activity such as using multis for financial assistance. In fact their only purpose is to restrict additionals from playing the game in a normal manner.
Sorry, just felt like venting my spleen. In hindsight this may be less appropriate in this thread.
ah well, I hate the delete button |
for MilesTeg:
Additional charcters are a luxury given to you by the game. The gam could have just limited you to 1 character, but they have allowed you to create 2 more, albiet limited in function, to play around with.
Don't think of it as a limitation of additional characters' abilities, but as a leeway given to you to have more than 1 character. |
I accept that, and in those terms it is fair.
But the question is why is it considered generous to have more than one character, when to my understanding in most of these style games there is no such limitation. And from a question of game dynamics, there is no benefit (as far as I can see) to the creators to have these limitations. In fact quite teh opposite.
It comes down to me not seeing the logic behind the restriction, rather than anything else. |
